1st Choice For Your Children
A licensed pre-school that runs 5 days a week for preschool children between the ages of 6 weeks and 5 years.
The main objective of CDO is to provide a safe, fun, and stimulating learning environment for children 6 weeks to 5 years old. Children attend the program up to five days each week and participate in activities like art, music, science, and creative movement. Our teachers choose developmentally appropriate activities based on the needs and interests of the children in the program.
Children's Day Out (CDO) was formed in 1975 by Ann Murrell, a parent interested in providing a safe and stimulating play environment for children. Helene Oleson is the Director of CDO and she can be reached at 526-6689..
This what Cooking for Christ is all about:
"I just wanted to pass along a sincere thank you to your organization, Cookies For Christ, for the care packages we continually have received here at FOB Warrior in Kirkuk, Iraq for the past months. The troops appreciated them very much. I am including a few pics of me here in Kirkuk, Iraq.
Thank you for your kindness, generosity and for all of your continued support. God bless."

If you missed the Valentine's Dinner/Dance, February 14, 2009 you probably missed the best adult event that has happened at St. Paul's in recent history. |
The event was planned and executed by the Family Life Ministry and was enjoyed by about 70 + people. Our own in-house chef Rob Andrews prepared the meal, the fellowship hall was nicely decorated and the tables arranged so people could dance. Kudos to the Family Life Ministry made up of Jeff and Jenni Huckabee, Rob and Lona Andrews, and Toby and Sonya Rue. Just think what they could do if they had more than 3 couples! |

The couples were honored with a guest appearance by the one and only Elvis Presley aka Rev. James Large. |
| Even the children who were in the event provided child care were treated to a close, one on one, visit with Elvis. Dig those high heels on the shoes. | ![]() |
| The dinner was prime rib to kill for, baked chicken that melted in your mouth, green beans, ziti and a nice salad with tiramisu for dessert.. | |

The music was furnished by a dj and was the 50s through 70s music, the good stuff people can dance to. |

is a group of men and women over the age of 55 who meet once a month for lunch, fellowship and informative programs.
United Methodist Women is the successor to the home and foreign missionary societies and guilds of the seven predecessor denominations that now comprise The United Methodist Church.
United Methodist Women is a mission organization whose members give of themselves through prayer, action and financial gifts in response to God’s call. Each year United Methodist Women:
Great accomplishments most often begin with small visions of possibilities. Two and a half years ago there was an idea to rais enough scholarship money to send two or three young women to the United Methodist Women’s School of Christian Mission at Sacramento Methodist Assembly in July of that year. It was suggested that one way to get the $600.00 for the scholarships might beto have people contribute their “collectable treasure” for a silent auction. The idea quickly took off and soon there was a pla to invite the whole congregation to help by contributing “treasured” items for an auction to be held along with United Methodist Women’s Spring Salad Luncheon. The auction raised $1,900.00! This amount made it possible to send two young women, a mother and daughter, and another woman to the School of Missions, with money left over. This year we again had a silent auction with the hopeof sending even more to the School of Missions. This year we raised $2,700.00! However, due to scheduling conflicts with Vacation Bible School and other things, we had no one apply for the School of Missions scholarships. It was obvious that God was showing us some other possibilities for the now $3,400.00 which we had for scholarships. Due to the current cost of church camp ($240.00 each) and therefore fewer young people attending camp, it was decided to provide scholarships for church camp for children and youth. We are happy to report that we have been able to send 15 children and 11 youth to Sacramento Methodist Assembly camps this summer!! This represents a huge increase from previous years. In the next newsletter we will share with you some of the things the children and youth have said about their camping experience. The indications are that it was a great experience that they would like to repeat. Every church owes it to their young people to provide ways for them to attend church camp. Many people have their most life-changing experiences when they are at camp as young people for it is a decision making time of life. If we as a church want to nurture young people to find God’s purpose for their lives, we can do nothing better than be friends with them, pray for them and make it possible for them to attend a Christ-centered camp each summer. Next year, we hope to raise money again for church camp so that every youth who desires to go may attend church camp. May we as a congregation make this our goal, and may we undergird our young people with our prayers and support.
